AUDIO

ACruz Sesper is an audio-visual project that merges Alexandre Cruz's music, artwork, video, and installations. This project was created in 2015 and focuses on releasing music on vinyl records and cassette tapes. The unique concept behind this project is that each physical copy of the music includes original art.

Alexandre Cruz is a self-taught musician who began his musical journey in the late 80s. He served as a vocalist in hardcore punk bands during the late 80s and early 90s, including O.V.E.C. (1988), Psychic Possessor (1990), and Safari Hamburgers (which recorded the album "Good Times" in 1993).

In 1991, he founded the band Garage Fuzz, which released several albums and toured Brazil for three decades. In 1995, he joined the first lineup of Paura and contributed to the release of their debut album on CD. Additionally, he engaged in lo-fi tape recordings with Carlos Dias in 1997, resulting in the Lo-fi Experiments.

Between 2000 and 2002, Alexandre Cruz worked on the electronic dub jazz punk project In.Tro.Spec.Tive.

Following a two-month trip to California in early 2009, he returned with numerous riffs recorded on a cell phone and collaborated with Sergio Lopes to start the project Vallejo Sunset.

Between 2014 and 2015, the first sketches of what would become The Pessimists were developed. The Pessimists is a minimalist punk project that released two cassette tapes and one 7-inch record, and it embarked on a 44-show tour across the United States in 2016.

Other projects in Alexandre Cruz's extensive musical career include Land Of Free (1993), Flip Top (1999), Slick Ones (2011), The Good Loop (2012), Instant Pot (2017), and Angustia (2018).
